We'd had the Manghen Pass on our list for quite some time. Finally, we made it. Despite what we'd heard, we were surprised by how narrow the road is in some places. And then there are the tight hairpin bends with significant gradients. It's quite a unique experience. The pass connects the Sugana Valley (Valsugana) in the south with the Val di Fiemme in the north. The pass is 38.5 km long. The southern side (a good 23 km) wasn't fully paved until 1987.
