I Bought a €40 BMX in Germany... Everything Went Wrong!

If you grew up riding BMX or skateboarding in the 80s and 90s, you know that feeling never really leaves you. Sure, we're older now. We have jobs, responsibilities, aching backs... and apparently a lot more complicated bike parts than we remember. But the excitement of bringing an old BMX back to life? That never gets old. While Heather was away in Italy for work, I found myself with a little too much free time (and some very dirty hands). So when I found a Sunday Primer BMX on Facebook Marketplace here in Germany for just €40, I couldn't pass it up. What I thought would be a simple cleanup and tune-up quickly turned into one problem after another. Stripped bolts, unexpected repairs, compatibility issues, and more than a few moments where I questioned why I ever started this project. But that's part of the adventure. Join me as I take this forgotten BMX from marketplace bargain to trail-ready bike while learning a few lessons along the way. Whether you're a lifelong BMX rider, a former skater, or just someone who refuses to let their inner kid disappear, this one's for you. If this project taught me anything, it's this: Never give up... and never grow up. 👍 If you enjoyed the video, hit the Like button, subscribe, and let me know in the comments: What's the bike or board that got you hooked when you were younger?
