Go West! Skip the Crowds, We Found Sicily's Less Touristy Coastal Towns

Tired of the crowds in Taoramina and Cefalu? Head West to see some gorgeous cities and warm friendly Sicilians. Don't forget the amazing food. We're Bert and Sanya. We retired early and sold nearly all of our belonging to slow travel the world, full time. Slow travel is a way of life, not a vacation. You travel to a country and "live" there for 1-3 months at a time. Occasionally our travel involves some faster traveling which will often end up being more expensive. The goal is to try and stick to a $60k budget for the year (about $5k/month). Some months will be expensive and some will be quite economical. It all depends on where we travel and how long we stay.
