Dressing is always a political act. The clothing choices women make, especially in the workplace, are influenced by norms, social expectations, and gender inequalities. The relationship between fashion and career is marked by tensions and contradictions that raise important questions: why is women's clothing constantly the target of criticism, observations, and unwritten rules? And why do we so often feel like we are never "appropriate" for work? At PUSH Finanças — an event in partnership with B3 — we welcomed Thais Farage, a fashion consultant with a postgraduate degree in Aesthetics and Fashion Management from USP and author of the book "Women, Clothing and Work – How Gender Inequality Dresses Itself" — to discuss how what we wear can be a tool for positioning ourselves and even open professional paths. In the conversation, powered by Shoulder, Thais offered a powerful reflection: clothing is not just aesthetics, but also strategy.
