There has been talk of possible UK trials for 25.25m 60-tonne combinations in recent months – already popular in many parts of Europe and potentially well-placed to deliver greater efficiency and productivity, by cutting the number of trucks on the roads and lowering emissions. We paired a regular Volvo FH 460 with I-Save 6x2 rigid with a two-axle Närko dolly & our regular Krone 13.6m box van test trailer, and invited a group of hauliers and media to put it to the test on a track in Surrey.
