DBX 1046 and 1066 Compressor/Limiter Display & Overheating fixes.

Video on the process of repairs and alterations I did on the DBX professional audio compressor/limiters models 1066 and 1046. Most of the problems with these models are the connections between the main board and the display board and those connections where directly soldered. The 1046 also has extreme heat production issues with the 2 regulators on the display board and thus are prone to overheating. heat spreaders where placed on those and 30 mm fans where installed. The fans come a leg of the transformer which is 21v AC rectified and smoothed to get 27 v DC, The fans are in series to one another and 120 ohm resistor. Each fan is then on a voltage dividing block with limiting resistors to each of around 100 ohms. This brings each fans voltage to 7 volts nominal as to not be so noisy.
