Saints Cyril and Methodius were 9th-century Byzantine Greek brothers known as the "Apostles to the Slavs". They were celebrated as missionaries who created the early Slavic alphabet and translated the Bible and liturgy into Old Church Slavonic. Every day in the traditional liturgical calendar, a different feast is celebrated of Jesus, Mary, or the saints. Every feast has its own dedicated "propers" of the Mass: selected verses from the Bible set to Gregorian Chant music. Every day of this year, Raya will choose one of the allotted Gregorian chants and sing them for you.
