Words and Music: Chris Spedding, Produced by Dick Lynn
This is a performance and interview video of legendary British guitarist, Chris Spedding, produced by Dick Lynn and directed by Gregory Gantner. Captured live at Club Metro in Chicago, 1984, this show features Chris along with bassist Tony Garnier (currently music director and bassist with Bob Dylan). I also managed Chris's career at the time, in addition to producing this video. Chris has played with and/or produced Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music, John Cale, Robert Gordon, Donovan, Jack Bruce, The Sex Pistols, Soft Cell, and countless others. This is an interview with Chris in between sets at Club Metro in Chicago, talking about his past work, his then current work, and his hopes for the future. I was also managing Chris Spedding at the time, as well as working with Sun Ra, The Waitresses, Robert Gordon and others. © 1984, Dick Lynn for Dick Lynn Studios
