Masterclass with Professor Maurice Bourgue in which they work on the first movement of Saint-Saëns Sonata op 166. This masterclass took place at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, Madrid 2007. Andantino Abstract: Professor Bourgue talks about dynamics, tempo and character at the beginning of the movement and they work on the emission of the sound to create a steadier stream. He also corrects some questions of rhythm. The student must control every note in fast passages of scales, having to blow more and faster air and faster to keep the tension. They work of the high pitches and the trill at the end of the movement. Bourgue comments that it is necessary to translate what we feel while playing to give something to the audience.
