Wisconsin | 2021 Ice Age Trail 50
Now off to Wisconsin to run the Ice Age Trail 50K, which usually runs in May, but was postponed to September due to Covid-19. It turned out to be one of the hottest days of 2021, so that wasn't fun coming from the Texas heat, but the race was awesome, and my amazing friends and I had a great Airbnb stay with covered deck, canoes, etc. I am glad after multiple delays we finally were able to run one of the oldest trail races in the U.S. Highly recommend it, but make sure you register early. The 50K is essentially a 2 part race, the first half has more rugged terrain and hills, so pace yourself through the first 25K, while the 2nd half (after you come back to Start/Finish line) has hills with much more flat/easy terrain, so here is where you can either coast, or push yourself to get that PR!
