Take The Corvette Mark Henning once again does the damage with 3 perfectly crafted slices of machine funk as he drops Lithium. Easily one of the most active producers in the scene at the moment, Mark always manages to create wholly unique sounding music infused with his own brand of power. Title track Lithium gets the EP underway with gently filtered, sequenced tones making their presence felt through swathes of reverb and FX before working in straight up percussive elements. Blue Haze deliver an instantly more looped out, old school Techno feel as yet more direct sequences are met with driving hi hats but overall, given a more delicate touch with smooth, ethereal pads. The wonderfully titled Take The Corvette closes out another storming release from Henning, taking things down a decidedly more House orientated route. Its foreboding bass line generates an ominous atmosphere and yet more subtle use of FX builds the foundations of a truly individual piece.
