Brandon Mears at the Kansas City City Finals American Ninja Warrior 2015

This was Brandon’s 2nd season competing on the show, not his third. His run in Kansas City Qualifying was cut, but it was revealed that he completed the course, placing 16th overall after taking Season 6 off. And in the Kansas City Finals, Brandon was the first runner up of the night, hoping to conquer the finals course. He was the tallest athlete to cleared obstacle after obstacle, and reaching the Warped Wall on his big height. Brandon got his revenge on the Salmon Ladder that got him 2 years ago in the Baltimore Finals, and he was the first person to complete the Flying Shelf Grab. It looked like he was gonna be the first athlete to complete the finals course, but he slipped down on the Body Prop, due to his tall legs. But Brandon’s time was fast and good enough to advance his first trip to Las Vegas after missing out 2 years ago, placing 9th overall.
