Raw Water Pump Rebuild Yanmar 3YM30 Johnson F4B903

Hi guys, welcome to East Coast Sailing. Im Rob & In today's episode I'll show you step by step how to remove your raw sea water pump from your Yanmar marine engine. This particular raw water pump is made by Johnson from Sweden. The model number is F4B-903. I’ll show you what went wrong with the unit and what caused such a catastrophic leak. I'll also show you where you can find part diagrams so you can find all the spare parts needed to repair your unit. I'll also show you where you can purchase spare parts from. I’ll also show massive savings on some of the parts Yanmar are supplying using standard automotive parts which are the same (without a Yanmar price tag). I'll also show you where you can purchase alternative drive belts for the water pump and alternator which cost 5 times less. The video also shows you how to change the drive belts for the alternator and water pump. I also do a bit of metal polishing to turn the old corroded water pump housing back it a mirror like brass finish.
