What an amazing technical showcase, some really epic techniques on display, coupled with music by Randall, Shogoon (one of my personal fave artists!) and The Syndrome to tie it all together, simply an amazing C64 demo, the vectors and "Six-Seven", is that you Shogoon? haha, Just wow! The scene demo, The Lab by Elysium, was run on a C64 Ultimate. Audio was captured on a real 8580 SID chip at 48kHz/24-bit PCM. Each scene demo now comes in two variants: Classic & Modern. Classic is a raw capture from a C64 Ultimate with an 8580 SID, with no changes at all. The aspect ratio and SID sound are preserved in all their glory! Modern has a proper CRT simulation effect applied, replacing the old manual effect. It’s less disruptive and more accurate. The Modern version also has a better aspect ratio fix that includes more of the border, especially for those awesome demos with border effects. The sound in the Modern version is balanced with a stereo fix, and the levels have been adjusted so it doesn’t peak out.
