Prendre la parole en réunion | Développer son éloquence, avec Bertrand Périer : Leçon 8
“Tell me how you speak, and I’ll tell you who you are”: when you master the art of public speaking, you can make a better impression, assert your ideas, and persuade others more effectively. In this eighth episode of our series, Bertrand Périer, lawyer and professor of public speaking, shares the secrets of effective speaking in meetings. Who hasn’t experienced those endless meetings, leaving you without really knowing what they were for? Hence the importance of always preparing a meeting in advance: how long will it be? How many participants? What topics will be discussed? And above all, never leave a meeting without speaking! Here again, it’s about anticipating what you have to say and not leaving before you’ve expressed all your ideas. With the rise of remote work, speaking up in meetings has become more challenging. Remote work has become a part of our professional lives, making meeting preparation even more crucial. This means ensuring children don't enter the room, checking the connection, addressing technical issues, adjusting the screen background, and so on. The presentation itself must also be adapted for remote meetings: "You need to be even clearer in your communication," says Bertrand Périer. To optimize your presentation in meetings, structure your pitch using the Post-it method: Problem, Opportunity, Solution, Team, Investment, Timeline. "Remember that a good pitch is one that immediately grabs attention, perhaps with a small gesture or a touch of originality, and that allows you to make your message stand out," concludes Bertrand Périer. #eloquence #training #welcometothejungle ______________________________ Welcome to the Jungle gives work a lasting place in our lives. 👉 Subscribe to our YouTube channel (and turn on notifications so you don't miss any videos 🔔!): / @welcometothejunglemedia 👉 Find all our articles here: https://www.welcometothejungle.com/fr... 👉 Looking for a new opportunity?
