Skiathos is a picturesque Greek island in the Sporades archipelago, world-renowned for its breathtaking beaches with golden sand and lush greenery. This emerald jewel of the Aegean Sea attracts visitors with more than 60 diverse beaches that line its entire coastline. While the southern part of the island offers well-equipped and lively resorts such as Koukounaries or Banana Beach, the northern and western coasts hide wild, tranquil coves surrounded by deep pine groves, including Elia and Mandraki. A truly exceptional spot is the northern beach of Lalaria, accessible only by sea, which will amaze you with its white pebbles and monumental rock arch. The heart of social life is the capital, Skiathos, with its picturesque old harbor, romantic streets, and the historic Bourtzi Fortress. In the north of the island, you can explore the impressive ruins of the medieval Kastro Castle, which protected the inhabitants from pirates for centuries, and combine the trip with a swim at the beach of the same name. Also worth a visit are the monasteries of Evangelistria and Panagia Kounistra, which contribute to the unique atmosphere of this Mediterranean paradise.
