Rituxan/Rituximab Infusion: My First Infusion Treatment For MCTD

Hi there! I'm uploading this video today to give information of what it is like to have an infusion of rituxan/rituximab when it comes to treating an autoimmune disease. I had my first infusion yesterday, October 12th, and it was honestly one of the easiest and least uncomfortable medical treatments I have ever had. My rheumatologist is implementing the use of rituxan as a single medication to hopefully treat my Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (MCTD) and to hopefully send it into remission. I am not a medical professional nor am I making any medical claims about rituxan/rituximab or anything you as an individual may go through in your treatment. I am just sharing how my treatment went and hoping that my experience can help you prepare or be more at ease when you go in for your treatment. I wished that someone had made a video about their infusion and only one or two people did, so hopefully I can help people out there in knowing how to prepare or what to expect in your infusion. I fully plan on making a video the day after my next infusion to explain how that process went. This is my first ever youtube video, so please be kind to my frizzy hair, lack of good lighting, and odd this-is-actually-my-bedroom background!
