I was craving some dim sum, so decided to go into Chinatown to practice my Cantonese. I ordered completely in Cantonese and it was nice to see the waitress so happy that I spoke her mother tongue. Although it was only for a short amount of time, I haven’t spoken Mandarin in a while, so it was nice to use that too.
