VENTENNE ACCOLTELLATO A MORTE, ACCUSA DI OMICIDIO PER ENTRAMBI GLI ARRESTATI | 06/05/2025

A3 NEWS Veneto 06/05/2025 - CASTELFRANCO VENETO - The preliminary hearing of the two young men arrested for the death of Lorenzo Cristea in Castelfranco is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m. in the S. Bona prison. The Prosecutor's Office has decided to charge both men with voluntary manslaughter. || Voluntary homicide in conspiracy: The Treviso Prosecutor's Office has decided to charge both men with all charges against the death of Lorenzo Cristea, a 20-year-old from Trebaseleghe, in Castelfranco, and the wounding of three other friends who were with him at the "Playa Beach Club" nightclub on Via Pagnana. Following 19-year-old Badr Rouaji, a student of Moroccan origin from Montebelluna, Taha Behnani, a 21-year-old asylum seeker, will also face charges of aggravated voluntary homicide, attempted homicide, voluntary assault, aggravated affray, and possession of a weapon, specifically a knife. According to the Prosecutor's Office, two were used on Saturday evening, although only one was found. Three stabs were inflicted on Cristea, and six, including one potentially fatal, on Alessandro Bortolami, the 22-year-old from Zero Branco who remained in danger of dying for two days. Bortolami woke up in the past few hours, as his mother wrote in a social media post and as his father confirmed through the intercom. "We were careful; we didn't tell him anything," his father added. Not even that his friend Lorenzo was dead. Bortolami will be interviewed by the magistrate as soon as possible; in the past few hours, the prosecutor Giulio Caprarola, who is investigating the case, interviewed the other injured man, Alessandro Pepe, who is still hospitalized, in Montebelluna hospital, also showing signs of improvement. Pepe reportedly referred to another knife used by Behnani at the scene of the murder. These testimonies, along with the video in the investigators' possession, contribute to reconstructing an act of violence that was completely "out of proportion," according to the head of the Prosecutor's Office, compared to the alleged wrongdoing. The two arrested men will be called to give their version of events in the next few hours during the preliminary hearing, which will take place in the Santa Bona prison. The autopsy on the victim's body will be performed by medical examiner Alberto Furlanetto: the assignment by the Prosecutor's Office will likely take place shortly. - Interviewees: PAOLO BORTOLAMI (Alessandro Bortolami's father), CARMINE PEPE - ALESSANDRO PEPE'S FATHER (On the phone) (Report by Lina Paronetto) - Follow Antenna Tre on digital terrestrial too!
