In the last session with Preto Velho (spiritual leader), the head of the house received an entity that came drinking cachaça (Brazilian rum). I found it strange, because why would a Preto Velho drink cachaça and not coffee? But since I'm new, I stayed there observing. At the end of the session, an experienced medium said, "Hey João Goveia, I think the people didn't realize you're not a nice guy." I tried searching for information about the "entity João Goveia" on the internet, but I couldn't find anything. I asked some medium friends from my terreiro (spiritual center) and others, and they said, "That's a Preto Velho (old black spirit) who comes in a possessed state, that's why the cachaça (Brazilian rum) is used."
