The Texas Rangers walked off the Astros to win the series thanks to Wyatt Langford's return. The bullpen had a rough day but the offense picked them back up. The Texas Rangers drafted left-handed pitcher Gio Rojas with the 16th pick in the 2026 MLB Draft. Texas believes Rojas is the best pitcher in the entire draft and was projected to not fall as far as pick 16. In the second round they drafted Texas high school shortstop Connor Comeau, who they were considering in the first round. Lefty high school pitcher Brody Bumila was one of the highest rated prospects in the class before injuring his elbow.
