A new MG ZS EV or a used Kia eNiro? Sense or sensibility?

We are a lucky bunch here at AutoEV. We do get our hands on some very fancy new electric vehicles. Yet, for all we love the Porsche Taycan, Jaguar I-Pace and all the other expensive, fast and luxurious new EVs, we have to be realistic. And in this week's twin test, we get VERY realistic. In times when the cost of living and energy prices continue to rise, we find out what the best way is to spend £30,000 on a do-it-all family EV. Do you opt for one of the best value for money new cars on the market, the excellent MG ZS, or do you go down the secondhand route and pick up a used version of one of our all-time greats, the Kia eNiro? Bryan goes all sensible this week in the latest "New v's Used" episode, all in the name of down-to-earth consumerism. We would also like to apologise about the sound quality in the Practicality section when discussing the rear seats. We had some technical difficulties that we didn't realise until it was too late. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
