8HP50/70 vs DCT Transmission Swaps for N54 BMW
Our 8-bolt N54 135i started out as a 6HP automatic, went to a manual, and is now going even faster by swapping in a 8HP50 ZF 8 speed transmission from a F series B58 BMW. This transmission is extremely comparable to the DCT when controlled by the HTG gearbox control unit. We are adapting the bellhousing using a custom ADAMAT adapter we offer on our website, link below. This adapter works for both the B58 based gas and diesel transmissions.
