OBJECTIVES: 1. Describe phenotypic overlap between rare inherited and non-inherited causes of anomalies in retinal vascular development. 2. Understand the basics of known mechanisms of disease. 3. Explore how mechanistic overlap aided by the knowledge of the genetics of phenotypically similar conditions can be used to advance gene discovery and new treatments using FEVR models of disease.
