🎳 Wait… We Were Just Traveling — And Ended Up in a Bowling Tournament?! | EP.240 Tokyo Bowling Adventure This was supposed to be just a chill Tokyo trip. Some food 🍜, sightseeing 🗼, and maybe a quick game at a local bowling alley — that’s why we each packed one ball. Just in case. And then… something unexpected happened 🎯 We walked into this retro-style bowling center and casually asked, “Any chance we can play today?” Staff: “Yes! There’s a tournament happening now, hosted by pro bowler Kenta Morimoto.” Us: 👀 “Wait, what? We can JOIN?! …Okay let’s go!” So yeah, we entered a tournament. In Japan. Out of nowhere. The approach? Super sticky. My usual slide just dead-stopped (even with a #6 sole 😅). The oil pattern? Heavier than what we’re used to. The crowd? Friendly, curious — and very intrigued by our flying spinner shots 😆 Our first shots weren’t perfect, but we slowly found our rhythm. And the coolest part? After the match, they printed out everyone’s stats. Like… every spare, every split, every frame. Brutally honest, and weirdly satisfying. Oh, and we even won a lucky draw: a ¥1000 play voucher. Looks like the lanes want us back 😏 ⸻ 🎌 This was never meant to be a competition trip. We just wanted to roll a few balls and ended up in a full-on pro-hosted Japanese tournament, with new friends, fresh challenges, and memories we’ll never forget. We’ll definitely be back.
