This final night in Tokyo is a truly special one. Although it seems like the band are desperately yearning for a break after playing three dates in a row (especially Freddie, who's voice is often not too dissimilar to the Jazz Tour), leading to quite a lot of shorter performances of songs than usually on the tour (examples are 'Get Down, Make Love', 'Now I'm Here' and even Brian's guitar solo), the performances are passionate and really heartfelt, leading to many unique moments and snippets, not often heard during this era of Queen concerts, examples being the final ever reference to 'The Millionaire Waltz' during the intro of 'Play the Game', Brian playing the Japanese traditional 'Sakura' as the only ever one-off before 'Love of My Life' instead of incorporating it into his guitar solo as that already features the first recorded instance of Brian's own 'I Go Crazy' (a song that ultimately end up being the B-side to 'Radio Ga Ga') being referenced. The overall fantastic jam leading into 'Keep Yourself Alive' features a rare reference to another rock and roll classic and to finish this unique evening off in style, 'Teo Torriatte' has been moved to a spot not unfamiliar to Japanese audiences: The "newly" created third encore, which was often used for 'See What a Fool I've Been' when the band performed in Japan. This would ultimately turn out to be the last time ever that Queen would perform another song after 'We Are the Champions'! Additionally, this show is the last to feature the extended 'Flash Gordon' medley as they would only perform 'Flash's Theme' and 'The Hero' for the remainder of the tour. Snippets at this show: 'The Millionaire Waltz' (before 'Play the Game'), 'Johnny B. Goode' by Chuck Berry (during 'Now I'm Here'), 'Sakura' (before 'Love of My Life') and 'Shakin' All Over' by Johnny Kidd & The Pirates (during the intro of 'Keep Yourself Alive'). 00:00:00 - Cheering 00:02:54 - 01.
