In this video, we take a deep dive into how Alpaka designs and manufactures their backpacks, slings, wallets, and accessories — from early product development all the way to final production and shipping. During the tour, we visit: • Alpaka’s design studio and research room • Their in-house 3D printing and hardware prototyping setup • Fabric storage and laser cutting operations • The full backpack assembly line • Quality control and finishing processes • Their large-scale warehouse and fulfillment operation One of the most interesting parts of the tour was seeing how Alpaka develops some of their hardware in-house, allowing them to prototype and move much faster than most carry brands. We also got a closer look at materials like X-Pac, the Traverse Backpack production line, Hub accessories, Maglock hardware, and more. As someone who has toured multiple backpack factories in Vietnam, it was fascinating to compare the manufacturing scale and systems here in Shenzhen, which is home to many of the world’s leading bag and gear factories. Huge thanks to the Alpaka team for showing us around and giving us full access to the process. ********** Looking to have YOUR backpack reviewed?
