Events such as the 1982 Cineteca Nacional fire and 1990s media restructuring made preservation of these eras critical. For the first time, broad audiences can access this material through a free, publicly accessible digital museum. 🔧 Restoration Methodology Each production is grounded in historical verification and original research. Archival materials undergo a supervised restoration workflow including stabilization, denoising, artifact mitigation, dynamic range correction, chromatic balancing, color reconstruction, and detail recovery. The workflow integrates professional editing systems, digital color pipelines, Blackmagic RAW processing, and frame-level reconstruction in Adobe Photoshop. AI-assisted tools such as Topaz Astra (precise mode) are used conservatively to recover degraded textures while preserving historical authenticity. All enhancements are manually reviewed.
