Today's Gospel reveals a truth that defies the impossible. When despair paralyzes us, when situations seem incurable, an unexpected force arises: faith. It is not a passive belief, but a restorative action that transforms our reality. Let us immerse ourselves in this story. A leader, Jairus, prostrate, pleads with Jesus: "Lord, my daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live." In the desolation of death, his faith does not doubt the power of Jesus. It is a bold plea, a total trust in the face of the irretrievable. Along the way, another story crosses their path. A woman, sick for twelve years, thinks: "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed." Without words, just a gesture. Her furtive touch doesn't seek attention, it seeks healing. It is silent, persevering faith, daring to believe against all hope. Jesus, perceiving it, utters words that resonate today: "Have faith, daughter, your faith has healed you." This is not a passive faith. It is an active force that moves the Divine to act. Total trust in Him is the root of all liberation, physical or spiritual. It recognizes the courage of a soul that surrenders. How often do we feel trapped, powerless? A persistent illness? Anxiety that steals our peace? Broken relationships with no apparent solution? We doubt, hope fades. We believe that nothing, and no one, can change our reality. But the Gospel calls us to a faith that rises up. It's not about waiting passively, but about touching the hem of Jesus' garment with your heart. It's the courage of Jairus in the face of death. It's the determination of the woman who exhausted all resources except God. What "touch" of faith do you need to make today? Perhaps it's forgiving, asking for help, letting go of control. Or simply talking to Jesus about that situation that's consuming you. Trust, act. Let your faith activate its restorative power in your life. He's waiting for you. Lord, strengthen our faith when anxiety consumes us and hope fades. Help us to feel your presence in every moment, to trust in your transforming power. Restore in us the certainty that your love can do all things.
