He and His Brother Built This Supercharged 1957 Bel Air

Marvin Meyer from Colorado bought this 1957 Chevy Bel Air when he was 15. It was his first car, and 54 years later he still has it, now a supercharged restomod he built with his brother Jim. Some facts about the car, in Marvin's words: The most-asked question is the color. It's a custom Sherwin-Williams blend called "Silvereen." The custom interior is black with jade leather inserts, with Bel Air fins and Chevy emblems worked in, and the original hood "V" ornament wrapped in leather and built into the custom trunk. Under the hood is a 434ci all-aluminum Dart with an F1 ProCharger, backed by a race-built 700R4. Suspension is a tubular A-arm setup from Jim Meyer Racing, the rear end is a narrowed Ford 9-inch, and Baer brakes bring it down. The wheels are Billet Specialty Stilettos, 18s up front and 20s in the rear on Pirelli rubber. The whole car was rebuilt in a 3-car garage except for the paint and interior. Marvin and his brother Jim built it together, and that time spent is the best part of the story. ▶ Subscribe for new classic cars daily, and a Guess the Car challenge every week:    / @classicallyobsessed   📸 Submit your ride for FREE: https://classicallyobsessed.com/submit/ 🖼️ Your car.
