True Believer
True Believer is Dale Schierholt's documentary profile of painter Charles Arnoldi and offers an intimate visit with the artist in his Venice, California studio. Arnoldi has been making art for over 40 years and has established himself as one of the most prominent painters in southern California. His work resides in numerous collections and museums throughout the United States, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the Guggenheim Bilbao in Spain. The film allows viewers to witness Arnoldi at work and listen as he candidly discusses his work and life. The second in Schierholt's California Masters series, this film is rare opportunity for the art appreciator and creator to gain insight to the work of this accomplished artist.
