How to clear corp property on Table Rock Lake

When I've shown lakefront property before sometimes I get the question-"Can I just cut all these trees down?" If you're not familiar with Table Rock Lake and The Army Corp of Engineer rules on clearing corp property that is bordering your lot, there are permits you can apply for like a vegetation permit that allows you to cut trees and brush under 2 inches and cedar trees under 3 inches. There's also a path permit that allows you to cut and maintain a path from your property down to the water, just like the property in this video.  Contact me for your real estate needs on Table Rock Lake!  Carrie Ann Higgs 417-230-3957 For more information here's the Corp of Engineers official 2020 Shoreline Management Plan.  Among the changes in the near Shoreline Management plan: -The reduction of certain Public Recreation Areas which could allow more Vegetation Permits to be issued. -New Private Boat Docks from 1 to 20 Slips in size being permitted up to lake capacity of Boat Slips which is 30,806. -Maximum Slip Size goes from 14 x 30 Ft. to 12 x 30 Ft. -No new Land Based Electrical Services Permits to Docks will be allowed though existing ones can be used under certain circumstances. Alternate forms of Electrical Services must be used for future Docks. -Mowing and/or underbrushing permitted areas may be limited due to the best interest of preserving natural resources. -Trees and shrubs up to two inches in diameter and Cedar trees up to three inches in diameter as measured from ground level may be removed but Dogwood, Redbud, or Serviceberry trees cannot be removed, regardless of size.
