The Oliver Typewriter No 9
I give a short overview of the peculiar machine that is the Oliver Typewriter No 9. This model from 1916. The Oliver is not a well known machine to people outside the typewriter communities, but most who see it remember it well. Its design stands out well enough that you can't help but remember it. In the video I simply talk a bit about how the machine works, and give a typing demonstration to show how it looks when one types on it. It's not an in-depth video about the machine for the simple reason that I don't know much about the history of Oliver, but perhaps that is something I should do something about sometime later.
