Harry Reid Int’l Airport (KLAS) | Permission to Land, Event Fees & Top Secret Government Airline
Fly with us into incredible Harry Reid International Airport onto Runway 19R. This airport does not have transient parking. We chose to stay with Atlantic Aviation. You’ll need a PPR (Prior Permission Required) to land here so be sure to stick around and find out how to get one and stay for the incredible Las Vegas Strip views from the tail cam on departure! TRANSIENT PARKING You won’t find any transient parking here, you’ll need to choose an FBO and call ahead for a reservation and PPR number! FBO There are two FBO options at Harry Reid Int’l: Atlantic Aviation and Signature Aviation. We chose Atlantic Aviation. The lineman were friendly and transported us to and from our plane to the FBO with our luggage. The FBO had fresh drip coffee in the main lobby and an espresso machine in the crew area. We recommend the espresso! You can also find snacks for sale in the crew area. You’ll also find a small flight planning area with a computer with internet access and a printer. There is comfy seating throughout the first floor with a viewing area overlooking the airfield. Breakdown of fees for our Piper Arrow III for December 2024 Parking/Tie Down Fee 84.00 (3 nights at $28/night) Facility Fee FREE ($45 fee waived w/ fuel purchase) Security Fee Piston 10.00 Avgas 138.46 (14 gallons @ $9.89 gallon) TOTAL 232.46 IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE: There is an event fee for all events. We landed on a Sunday when the Raiders were in town and we were charged an event fee of $45. Event fees can vary from $45 to $800+ (F1 appears to the have the highest event fee at this time) You will need a PPR to land at this airport. When you make a reservation with an FBO they will provide you with a PPR #. Put this number in your flight plan. FUEL You will only find full-service fuel at Harry Reid. Signature and Atlantic both have 100LL available. Fuel is expensive here, we paid $9.89/gal in December 2024. RESTROOMS Restrooms are located inside the FBOs and inside the main airport terminal. CREW CAR / CAR RENTAL Both Atlantic and Signature have crew cars available for a 2 hour limit. The crew cars are on a first come basis and this is a busy airport. The Las Vegas strip is about a mile away and grabbing the crew car is a great way to get around the area. Rideshare is another great option if needing to get around without a car rental. If you are staying overnight or longer and need a car rental the FBOs can help reserve your vehicle and have it ready for you at the FBO when you land. FOOD There isn’t a café or restaurant on the field. You’ll find food options on and around the Las Vegas strip. Everything from high end dining and buffets to fast food and fast casual is available within a 20 min drive. When flying in be aware of the adjacent military airspace belonging to Nellis AFB. You do NOT want to encroach into that airspace. Follow tower’s directions when flying in on 19R or 19L. If you’ve visited Las Vegas before let us know what you’re favorite thing to do is and your favorite place to stay. We’re always looking for a new experience! Thanks for watching! See you next week as we explore a new airport! Until then, Go fly, Go discover! 🛩️ ________________________________________________________________________________________________We help Pilots find the important things at an Airport –Transient Parking, Fuel, Restrooms and Food!
