After Decades Working on Chainsaws, I Look Here First....
This STIHL MS250 came in with a serious problem. It was extremely dirty, hard to start, and clearly not running the way it should. After decades working on chainsaws, I’ve learned there are a few places you check first when something isn’t right. In this video I walk through the diagnostic process, run compression and pressure tests, and start digging into the saw to figure out what went wrong. Along the way, the saw gets a complete teardown and deep cleaning before the real issue finally reveals itself. In the end, this MS250 goes from filthy and barely running to cleaned up and cutting wood again. Watch the full video to see what caused the problem and how it was fixed.
