„The Tube” was a United Kingdom music television program, which ran for five series, from 5 November 1982 to 24 April 1987. The show’s hosts were Julian Miles „Jools” Holland (1958-) and Paula Yates ✝️ (1959-2000). „The Tube” was a showcase for many emerging 1980’s bands and an important outlet for the performers. In addition to being the launchpad for new and upcoming performers, „The Tube” became known for its high-profile music performance 'scoops' from established world class musicians. The cornerstone of the shows was the live performances from three or four bands each week. On the show that aired 14 November 1986, Ofra Haza was presented with a short snippet of „Galbi”’s 12” Mix. It was announced that more will come on 12 December’s show. This second show was filmed in Tel Aviv, since Paula Yates traveled to Israel with the show’s staff to present Israeli music from that time, and to talk with other musicians and some young people to get to know the current musical state of the country. She met and talked with Ofra too.
