This is a tutorial on how to make a coin purse box using cartonnage. I previously released a video tutorial on making a similar coin purse box, but the metal frame used in that tutorial is no longer sold, and all of my remaining stock has also sold out, so I can no longer make it using that frame. I'll leave the video up as is, as I know some of you may already own the same frame or have purchased a kit but haven't made it yet. However, I've decided to release a new video tutorial using a different size metal frame. This frame is available commercially, and I also sell it as part of a kit. Last time, I used 1mm thick cardboard for the sides, but this time I used a slightly thinner cardboard. It's slightly less strong, but it's perfectly fine for normal use. I've made this coin purse box a little taller because I plan to make a tray for it in the next tutorial. Even if you don't make the tray, you can still put various things inside, so please feel free to use it! If you want to make it even lower, you can adjust it by shortening the cardboard sides (the "wood grain cover") by the same amount on both the front and back.
