For example, you could extract "Contact Person," "Product Name," and "Sales Amount" from a sales table, and instantly create a summary table of "Sales Amount" centered on "Contact Person" and "Product Name." The word "pivot" means "axis of rotation," and it uses a specific field as the axis to consider data from a different perspective.
