Budget Miniature Basing | Affordable Basing Materials

Sometimes companies charge too dang much for small packets of dirt and sand. Giant jars of the stuff that will last me until I die? Now that I can get behind. These miniature bases are only a few of innumerable different designs that you could do with the material involved. If you take the amount of material used per miniature base, it really does come out to pennies per miniature base, if not less than that. I wanted to create some great looking bases on a budget that were cheap, affordable, and easy to make. You could crank out dozens of these in just a few hours time, where most of that time spent would be on waiting for the glue and paint to dry! I got all the texture materials from Michaels, and with a 40% off entire purchase coupon (they pretty much always have those), these cam out to around 3 bucks per jar. They are not as great of quality as the Citadel and professional miniature fine granules, but they get the job done, and I am super proud of the results. I bought the paint from walmart for $0.50 each, the reaper bases on amazon, and the washers on amazon as well. You can probably find the last 2 cheaper elsewhere. The glues are also from walmart, but any good crafter will have at least one or 2 glues that they like already.
