Berging tankauto op A6 bij Bant

Tow company Stouwdam used large equipment to salvage the tanker truck loaded with the hazardous substance acrylic acid. The combination had gone off the road on the A6 near Band after the driver became unwell. Emergency services including a trauma helicopter were deployed to save the driver's life, unfortunately this was not successful. Before the actual salvaging could begin, the dangerous acrylic acid had to be pumped over into another tanker truck for this a special pump had to come from Moerdijk. The A6 at Bant was closed for a long time due to the accident. The salvage operation lasted into the night, after which the motorway reopened.
