The child may swallow for example; a coin, a pin, a small piece, as is evident in these pictures, and these things fall into the esophagus and digestive system. The biggest problem is considered as the incorrect handling to extract these pieces from the child's mouth So what are the correct methods that you will follow in order to do first aid? 1- Be calm 2- you make sure that the child is breathing well and does not show any signs of suffocation, which were explained in a previous episode, in order to prove that nothing has fallen into the trachea and the child is able to breathe tightly. 3- Call the ambulance number or go quickly with the child to the hospital in order to make X-rays, CT or MRI to discover the location of this swallowed thing. Upon knowing the location of this swallowed object, an endoscope will be made in order to extract this object. So what are the signs of danger? 1- The child's inability to breathe 2- The child's inability to swallow, there is a misconception among some people, which is to give the child food or fluids and thus it is possible that they fall into the trachea and block the airway. 3- A blood note! ; This is a very dangerous sign, It may be noticed that blood associated with vomiting as a result of a wound in the wall of the esophagus due to a piece of metal that was swallowed for example. may be noticed blood with the stool, or the stool color has become dark due to the presence of blood in it. When these dangerous signs appear, we must help the child as quickly as possible in order to save his life.
