Life after the PhD
Presentation from Dr Ilaria de Sanctis and discussion of open questions The conference aims to expose to the attenders, based on the personal experience of the speakers, how the PhD is understood in the Industry as well as the key skills you will be equipped with. Therefore, we will have the peasure to have two different speakers, gender balanced. The first speaker will be Dr Ilaria de Sanctis, having being graduated as PhD in Industrial Management from the Marche Politehcnic University (Italy) and she is working as data scientist for several years in Securitas Direct (Real State protection & Safety) The second speaker will be Prof Dr Álvaro García, in transition from the academia to the professional business marketplace. He is running his own spin-off company (baobab soluciones). Therefore, we expect to get from his side the perspective of the value creation from different profiles of educated people.
