CLASS B FIRE Caused by flammable liquids such as petroleum-based oils, kerosene , and gasoline. The most appropriate fire extinguishers would be foam and Dry powder extinguishers. 3. CLASS C FIRE This is fire involving flammable gases such as propane, methane, butane and LPG gases. The most appropriate fire extinguishers are, CO2 extinguisher and Dry powder extinguisher. 4. CLASS D FIRE This is fire involving combustible metals as fuel source. Such metals include, magnesium, zirconium, sodium, lithium or potassium. To extinguish this fire, the best fire extinguisher will be Dry powder. 5. CLASS E FIRE This is a type of fire from energized electrical equipment. Also know as electrical fire. The most appropriate fire extinguishers to use will be CO2 and Dry chemical powder extinguishers.
