Hi I’m Jared B, You know the whole spiel, I’m JBuck’s innie blah blah blah WHAT AN INSANE episode. We’re just.. We’re just gonna get into everything in Severance episode 7 because WOW I want to get right into the weird testing floor Gemma has been essentially a prisoner on. Instantly opening a whole new can of weird for Severance, while surprisingly giving us a lot of answers. Firstly, Gemma is in fact alive, this is Mark’s Gemma. So any theories involving robots or clones or… robot clones can be thrown BY THE WAYSIDE Gemma is alive and far from well, with the leading theory of how she got here being due to her car accident, that was no doubt all a set up by Lumon. She probably became unconscious from the collision, they swapped out her body with an already dead one from the morgue, and then smuggled her onto the testing floor of Lumon for roughly the last 2 years. It’s batshit crazy what Lumon is doing, which is funny because we really don’t even know what that is yet, but the fact they have this much influence on the outside is telling. There’s something special about Gemma, genetically, spiritually, intellectually, it's sort of a mixed guess at this point, but her and Mark were clearly targeted after all of their blood and fertility medical records went to Lumon, which I’ll touch on a bit later when we dive into the Serverance’s version of the Pixar’s Up love story. As for now Gemma is being examined, having her blood drawn, but going somewhere unknown as the camera and framing purposely blur the blood’s final destination and purpose. Two vials, representing Gemma’s innie and outie, much like Mark’s fortune cookies from last week. This further examination scene no doubt is taking parallels from the real life cult, religion, business, or scam, depending on how you view it, of scientology. Ever since season 1, I’ve had an inkling Lumon and Severance were borrowing ideas from scientology, and this episode pretty much confirms it.
