According to Colonel Roger Cano, head of the division, the investigation led to the identification of the gang members, including three women from the same family—mother, daughter, and daughter-in-law—who acted as "spotters," selecting and following victims from the bank branches. According to the police, the victim was followed from the bank to his home, where he was intercepted by other members of the organization. During the robbery, the man tried to resist and was shot in the head. The criminals stole the money and fled the scene. After four months of intelligence work and police investigations, authorities identified the alleged perpetrators, including the individual who is believed to have fired the shot.
