College Decision Reaction 2025 – The Harsh Truth for International Students P1

I’m an international student who spent the last two years grinding—academics, extracurriculars, essays, the whole game—just for this moment: my college decision reactions. I applied to the US with everything I had, hoping that merit and potential would be enough. But I had one major problem—my EFC is just $15,500. And that changes everything. 🟠 As an Indian student applying to need-aware colleges in the U.S., I now realize something they don’t talk about enough: the system isn’t built for us. Most top schools have limited quotas per country. Financial aid is scarce. And with rising competition post-COVID and lingering Trump-era immigration pressure, it's only gotten harder. This isn’t your usual happy college decision reaction video. It’s real. It’s painful. But it’s mine. From Ivy League schools (this will be in the next part of videos) to generous liberal arts colleges, I watched decision after decision roll in. Rejections, waitlists... and yeah, maybe one or two hopeful moments. Got in Drexel & HKUST only. But overall? I’m not keeping hopes for the U.S. anymore. The grind broke me.
