Upon getting closer, I realized they are the legendary Caucasian Shepherd Dogs (also known as Caucasian Ovcharka). The owner revealed that this incredible pair was imported from England just three months ago. Because they are native to cold regions like Russia and the Caucasus mountains, they cannot bear the intense summer heat, which is why they have a dedicated air-conditioned room and have had their body fur closely trimmed for comfort, leaving only their signature lion-like mane on their heads and tails. About the Breed (Caucasian Ovcharka): Origin: Russia & the Caucasus Region (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan). Purpose: Historically bred as fearless Livestock Guardian dogs to protect cattle from wolves and bears. Size & Weight: Giant breed, weighing anywhere between 50 kg to over 80 kg. Temperament: Extremely loyal and protective of their owners, but highly alert and dominant around strangers.
