Talk about the Weather in English: Advanced Vocabulary for Weather

How can you easily talk about the weather in English, a common topic of small talk conversations? For example, if I ask you to describe the weather where you live today, what would you say? Is it sunny? Or rainy? Yes, you can use windy, rainy, snowy, and sunny words. But you already know there are different kinds of rain, for example. Hard rain (downpour) Soft rain (drizzle) And sometimes the sun can be beautiful. Other times it's TOO MUCH!!! What words can you use to describe those differences in weather? How can you be more precise when you talk about the weather? The answer: Use advanced weather vocabulary! Advanced doesn't mean it's hard. It means you have MORE words to describe the weather and you can be more precise.
