On June 24, 2024, heavy rain caused the Blue Earth River near Mankato, Minnesota to flood, breaching the Rapidan Dam. Since then faculty and student researchers from the UW-Eau Claire Geography and Anthropology department have been tracking the changes to the surrounding landscape.
