Enjoy! During my online research to prepare for the renovation of our hallway, I came across the WAGNER W 590 FLEXiO paint spray system. The term "Flexio" means that the package includes a spray attachment for emulsion and latex paints as well as for varnishes and stains. I bought this device specifically for spraying paint onto the existing wood paneling in my hallway. Based on the good reviews, I chose Pep Up renovation paint for wood paneling. Unfortunately, I couldn't find out beforehand whether it was suitable for a paint sprayer, so I bought the combination on a whim and wasn't disappointed. The Wagner paint sprayer and the Pep Up renovation paint proved to be a good team. Since I had absolutely no prior experience with paint sprayers and generally little experience with spraying paint, I was a bit apprehensive at the beginning. After all, who wants to risk having to painstakingly sand off all the paint again if the attempt fails? I set the material and air volume to 6 on the device, as the paint is quite thick. In the first test, the spray pattern was acceptable enough with these settings that I risked the first pass. The anticipation mounted, and then it began. The first coat of paint hit the wood, and there was no turning back. I had read that a consistent cross-hatch motion with a precise, constant distance to the surface was crucial. Well, then you press the button and have to do everything right at once. The Wagner 590 spray system allows you to switch from a horizontal to a vertical spray pattern with a 90-degree turn. However, during the first pass, there was too much to remember, so I made up for it later, as you can see. The initial result was quite good. It's very important, despite the manufacturer's claims that the device produces minimal overspray, to mask off all adjacent surfaces with plastic sheeting. I used Tesa Easy Cover painter's tape with a protective film backing. However, I hadn't considered that the spray system generates considerable air turbulence. I only thought of taping the masking film down at the bottom later. My overall impression is quite positive. Taking the risk of using two untested products together, like the WAGNER paint spray system with Pep Up renovation paint, proved to be very worthwhile. The paint provides truly perfect coverage and adheres not only to wood but also to skin and tiles if you haven't taken the necessary precautions. The spray system requires some initial practice, which can only be gained through hands-on experience. After all, there's only one way to practice a parachute jump: you have to get out of the plane mid-flight. I can highly recommend both the spray system and the Pep Up paint.
